Serendib Hotels and Resorts, a premier luxury hotel chain in Malawi, faced challenges in expanding its global market presence due to limited brand awareness. The re-engineering of the Serendib Hotels and Resorts website was an extensive project encompassing the main brand site and individual sites for each of the 9 hotels in the chain, totaling 10 websites. Each website was redesigned using React JS for the frontend, ensuring uniformity and optimal responsiveness across all devices. The backend was powered by Strapi, an advanced headless CMS, which allowed for centralized content management while providing the flexibility to cater to the unique content needs of each hotel.
This strategic overhaul aimed not only to elevate the user experience but also to streamline content management processes across the chain. By deploying Strapi, we empowered hotel staff to update content dynamically, which is crucial for maintaining up-to-date information on promotions, events, and amenities. This uniform technology stack ensures consistency in brand messaging while allowing each hotel the autonomy to highlight its individuality.
